Known simply as, "The Academy," The PSTA needed a website that matched their reputation.
The Protective Services Training Academy, also known as the PSTA, is a state-of-the-art training facility in Maryland. They're well-known in the region, but the old website wasn't doing a great job of demonstrating the organization's experience and expertise. It wasn't mobile-friendly, and the design was outdated. Adding to the frustration, the former website wasn't easy to update and manage.
Our job was to develop a responsive website that displayed flawlessly across a variety of mobile devices, and updating and managing the new site needed to be straightforward and hassle-free. With those marching orders, ActiveMedia dove into the project.
The PSTA needed a website that was user-friendly, both for visitors and for PSTA staff. Our development team clocked in many hours developing features that fit the company's needs perfectly. Designs were created and assessed until the company was 100% satisfied with the proposed look and feel of the new website.
A refreshing new design was the main goal of this project, but we also wanted to plan for the future. That's why the PSTA's new site was specifically designed to be search engine friendly. If they want to ramp up their online marketing efforts getting everything SEO-ready will be a snap.
There are tons of eye-catching features on the redesigned website that are worth mentioning, so let's start from the beginning! The homepage's bold design includes a large interactive slider, and this slider is anything but standard. Each slide contains interactive parts that move onto the screen at different times, creating visual appeal and capturing visitor attention. Diving deeper into the website the services pages are well-structured and convey information tastefully, including a CTA form designed to drive customer action. The Facility Status page has been customized to fit the company's exact needs, displaying all of the information someone would want to know about their facilities.
The site also contains several different page layouts for maximum customization potential. But, here at ActiveMedia, we know that a great website doesn't do a business any good if the business can't maintain it. That's why all of these layouts can be easily used by the PSTA and its team. There are a variety of different layouts to choose from but they all have two things in common: each layout design incorporates images, and each layout is also incredibly easy to update and manage. It's not just about design, though. We even created an integrated course management system where customers can easily pre-register for courses.
