Melissa’s more than a decade of combined experience in the field of communications and politics includes serving as the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at Grassroots Enterprise, Inc., which is a public affairs-technology firm lead by former White House Press Secretary, Mike McCurry. She also served as the Director of Communications to a consortium of the six largest legal-civil rights groups of the country. Furthermore, she was campaign manager to several electoral campaigns.

She earned her BA from the Griffith University and was also awarded the Presidents' Award by the prestigious Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
